Packing List
Very light clothing please! It's warm and humid here the whole year round! An umbrella wouldn't be a bad idea too during Oct-Dec. We're pretty clean. :) You can get most toiletries and medical supplies easily.

Don't bother to bring a jacket. YOu most likely won't need it since Singapore is just a stones throw from the equator. I don't think there is a single heater in the whole country. The only time people wear warm clothes is when the AC gets too cold.I was there on business and didn't wear a suit jacket once. You should be able to get away with a shirt and tie in most cases.During the non work hours feel free to wear whatever makes you comfortable and whatever suits the event. I saw lots of people wearing shorts and thongs. You should be able to find whatever it is that you need for your camera from film to batteries to memory sticks in the digital camera world. Singapore is well known for their inexpensive electronics. The deals that you get are questionable. Prices wern't as cheap as I had expected but you will often times find models that aren't released yet in the states or other...
As Singapore is a SHOPPERS PARADISE, you may want an extra luggage to carry home your purchases. You need not worry as cheap bags and luggages can be readily purchased here. As Singapore's climate is humid with temperatures ranging between 24 - 30 dgrees Celcius, light cotton clothings like T-shirts, shorts, bermuda and jeans are preferred. Bear in mind also, smart clothings for your entry into selected posh restaurants. It's good to wear a light exposed sandal-type strapped footwear on the Singapore roads. Slippers are actually good but would give a different image. Anyway, the ulimate choice would be yours. Rainfall can be unexpected at times and it would be prudent to carry a foldable umbrella with you. On very hot and sunny days bring along your sun-visor, cap or hat for your comfort. Toiletries are readily available at the numerous retail outlets and supermarkets. Medical items...
International travel gear T-Shirts. Pants. Hot and humid. Please try to respect the people by wearing decent clothes. Restaurants are casual. However the Raffles has a very strict dressing code. I knew the Raffles 30 years ago and I dont see the fuss of wanting to go there. Of course your own prescription. Dont forget your international plug for electrical devices. Laptop connections are available in most hotel rooms but you need a network card to plug in to their LAN connection. Tropical.

Well, it really depends on how much you are going to bring and the type of travelling plans that you have. I had 'backpacked' with my friend in Scandinavia. Whereas i carried a backpack, she 'backpacked' with a roll along luggage bag, which worked for her too! Singapore is basically a warm country. Do bring an umbrella or rain gear coz it does rain here for a short while on some days. The rain comes fast and goes fast, which is something i like (rain depresses me). Cotton tees, sleeveless, hat/cap, sunglass, sunblock, bermudas, shorts etc. People here do dress casually. But if you are planning to enter religious sites like temples or churches, do cover up a little because some places are really strict about attire. And of course, if you plan to venture out to clubs here in Singapore, most clubs do not allow entry to guys who wear sandals. Bring your 'clubbing' wear if you do intend to...
Inexperienced travelers take note:Always carry your essential documents -- passports, money, credit cards, and air tickets -- on your person. Under no circumstances should you pack them, whether in your hand luggage or your checked bag. To do so invites disaster.
Bring the minimum, because you could buy good ones at amazing prices at Singapore Pack as less as possible to maximise your purchase here. all things are easily available
There is a water-themed playground at the zoo. It is next to the Children's World. It is a good way to cool off for the children and wear them out after seeing the animals.

Singapore is a very developed country, you can almost find all your needs anywhere (cepts if you're going to those remote islands).
It is hot here, and often humid. Bring lightest weight clothing you have, natural fiber. Expect to shower several times daily. Locals are often casual in sandels. No stick deodorant here.
