The distinguishing feature of this park is the carefully preserved 6-ha mangrove swamp. Catwalks built into the swamp brings you closer to the inhabitants of the swamp, which includes mud crabs, mudskippers and mangrove trees such as Rhizophora and Bruguiera. Birdwatchers will be able to see birds perching on tree branches from the 3-storey high observatory tower.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
An improved mangrove boardwalk is coming your way .... Meanwhile, Pasir Ris Park Mangrove Boardwalk will be closed from February 2004 to June 2005.
