Favorite thing: Although Ubin is a peaceful and quiet place, do take the usual precautions. Do obey all traffic signs and rules.
When cycling do ensure your bicycle is in good working condition before setting off. Use only designated roads and tracks, and keep to the left, in a single file.
Look out for all warning signs.
Don't swim in areas not designated for swimming. Quarries and sluice gates are particularly treacherous places.
Water from public toilets and wells are not suitable for drinking or bathing.

Favorite thing: There are 2 more islands around Ubin island- the crab island and the frog island. The was a myth by the residents in Ubin:-
Once there were 3 animals competing in a contest to swim over the straits, they are the wild boar, the elephant and the frog. Half way, the frog given up and became frog island. The wild boar became Ubin explained that why there are so many wild boar here and the elephant since it came from Johor, swam back to Johor.

Favorite thing: Once over thousand people, now only 60 residents resides in Ubin island. Most people rely on tourism to survive, e.g. taxi drivers, restaurants, bicycle renting shop; but many others live on their own, planting vege and fishing..
Ubin is a good place to escape from hustle and bustle in the city, especially a city country like singapore..

Favorite thing: There are many old vehicles on the island, and some spoilt ones are abandoned on the roadsides, something which you don't see often in mainland Singapore.
