Luggage and bags: Keep it simple, keep it light.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: A rain jacket just in case. Or an umbrella which can be cumbersome.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Soap leaves. No proper nor clean sanitation!
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: Your Camelback. Or a portable wearable water storage. Useful for hiking and biking.
Miscellaneous: Mosquito spray repellant. Please note citronella does not work on the islands, these mozzies are ferocious commandos that have been starving as their population is much more dense than people on the Island.

Miscellaneous: If you are a nature lover, outdoor enthusiast, conservation activist or the like, get a copy of "CHEK JAWA GUIDEBOOK" and bring this useful resource with you on your Ubin trip. On the back cover is a handy ruler. Please note I am not an official promoter of the book nor do I work in the book seller market.
Check out the website provided. It's a small handy book which certainly does not take up much space in your backpack. Available from major bookstores.
