Favorite thing: The main entrance to Seletar is along Jalan Kayu Road, which you can either enter by Yio Chu Kang Road or the Seletar Expressway. However, there is another road entrance to Seletar located along Seletar Club Road which links to Yishun Avenue 1. The drive along this road is fantastic with beautiful views of the Lower Seletar Reservoir and its dam. More photographs are at the travelogue section of this VT page.

Favorite thing: Perhaps the most common wildlife you can see at Seletar are the migratory birds, which are common in the northern parts of Singapore. The most common bird is the impressive white egret like the one shown in this photograph.

Favorite thing: On the southern side of Yio Chu Kang Road somewhere near the junction between Jalan Kayu and Yio Chu Kang Road, there is a huge private housing estate known as Seletar Hill. If you are driving, you can explore the environment of this housing estate.

Favorite thing: If you enter Seletar Farmway 4 from Jalan Kayu, you will see several blocks of deserted housing flats here.

Latest News: It is very sad to find out that the tranquil Seletar area will soon be developed into an aerospace hub by the Singapore government. Work is underway in mid 1997 and a lot of the houses......
