Because the area surrounding the 3 reservoirs in Singapore's central catchment area consists mainly of jungles, there are some well-marked tracks for those who like to walk or jog in the jungle. These tracks are especially popular among the locals during the weekends. One of the track which starts at MacRitchie Reservoir can go all the way to Bukit Timah Hill, and it is about 3 hours walk at a leisurely pace.

This park located at the Upper Peirce Reservoir is harder to reach than the rest of the parks in this area, as it is at the end of a long road where the entrance is along Old Upper Thompson Road. Nevertheless, those local people who have vehicles like to visit this park because of the remoteness. One thing to note is that the gate of the road leading to this park closes at 7pm.
