How to get the best from Singapore

by sadissa Written Dec 26, 2008

Favorite thing: Sentosa island is a wonderful place where you will forget that you'are still on this earth.

The place to go!! absolutely, if not that wasn't singapore
There you have beach station, butterfly space, image of singapore, the see that sing nice blues and great songs. To get there you reach Vivocity by bus or taxi; you can visit vivocity shops, you can have a drink and a meal, plus fantastic designed grass, water flow!!!!

take the skytrain (3$) to reach Sentosa itself and enjoy your stay there!!!!

    Fondest memory: Attraction!!!!
it's fantastic to go around shops, bugis village and look everything you need. As malls, you have Orchard malls, OG malls, Bugis village (night market; for this one, make sure you ate as it can take you the whole night), China town street, .... Airport shops

Where to stop: National library, Singapore museum, Singopre flyer, Sentosa, Little india in the night, Araba street for carpet...

If you want to save cost: stay in a backpacker (Tresor tavern hostel, 7th storey hotel, Wellcome in backpacker, fragrance backpackers hostel) all of them are clean, cheap with internet connection and very close to everywhere.

    Cafe-time on Siloso beach

Favorite thing: Sentosa Siloso is a beautiful artificial beach. It's decent to take a break at a cafe shop.

Fondest memory: My family and I had cafe-time on Siloso beach. We had tuna fish sandwich and a cup of ice tea. It's nice to view the beach from the cafe...

    Unless you love crowds..

by cmcarney Written Jul 26, 2004

Favorite thing: avoid the tourist places like the zoo and Sentosa on Sundays. Sunday is the only common day everyone has off and of course everyone wants to go out so on a small island it makes for congestion. I stuck to the nature preserves/hiking trails on Sundays.
In general, I would suggest mornings to start your adventure, not only do you avoid crowds but you can get in most of your sightseeing before it gets too hot or the common afternoon shower.
