Visitors Center, Singapore
The Great Singapore Sale is my favorite in Singapore. It happens every May-July, every year. Shopping in Orchard rd is my favorite activity in Singapore. Another thing not to be miss in Singapore is the Songs of the Sea at Sentosa Island.
Fondest memory: The Great Singapore Sale and the Songs of theSea at Sentosa Island are truly the most memorable experiences of my vacation in Singapore.

There is a Singapore Visitors Centre loacated at City Square, Johor Bahru which is just across the Causeway to Malaysia.
i know its a bit difficult to locate some places on the paper maps. even i find it a trouble. i recommend this very nice directory web of singapore's. bascially there's map, travel guides, and even transport information. you can search with an address, landmark or postal code etc. with it, you can even check how to travel to/from this location. what's the facilities nearby this location etc. very useful map to get around singapore!
Fondest memory: i find it such a hassle overseas when i don't have my streetdirectory.com i love this web!
tip: other than just searching for the location. take a picture of the map in your camera/mobile/or print it as reference.
Favorite thing: We grabbed a free magazine at the airport called Real Destination - Singapore and it turned out to be the most valuable of the tourist information mags. It had a great map as well as suggested walking routes in each of the different area's. There is also a website The Real Destination - Singapore
don't know how to get somewhere?
don't know what to do?
just visit singapore visitor center. people there will give you directions and maps for free with smiling faces as a bonus.
i found this one in orchard road. probably there are more in other tourism areas.
The Singapore tourism authorities, through a number of Singapore Visitor Centres, provide a mass of free information and free magazines about the city. This is a very useful resource. There are obvious branches at Changi Airport but also at the mid-point of Orchard Road (and probably elsewhere).
In particular they do a great series of walking brochures which are great value for money (they are free!). Best way to see the city!
Singapore has a very active and agressive tourist board. They have locations throughout the city and at the airport. A year ago, they opened this large visitor's centre on Orchard Road. It's across from the Heeren (HMV) shopping centre. At night, you can't miss it with it's bright lights that change colors.
They can hook you up with things to do while you are here or with tours. For special events, such as performances, theater, or music-head to a sistic outlet. One location is at the information centre at Wisma Atria shopping centre.
Favorite thing: For people that are visiting Singapore in the near future, an excellent website that will tell you everything you want to know about Singapore is www.visitsingapore.com
