New Asia Bar, Singapore
What a great location! New Asia Bar offers simply the best view in Singapore. Happy Hour gets you a Jug of Tiger at just SGD 21! After Happy Hour prices go up to SGD 35. Check includes 10% Service Charge.
Dress Code: Dress properly. If you go early you will get in in Slippers and Shorts as well. But when it gets dark in Singapore, you need a nice appearance to get in.
This place was on my list. I really like views from above a city. And this place did not disappoint. I even survived the slanted floor and found that I enjoyed being up there. Too bad I didn't have more time here but there will be another time and at least I had beautiful weather.
Going to the top floor of Singapore's highest hotel is a must for most tourists. The view from the 71st floor is pretty amazing - you can see for miles.
But at night, the view is spectacular! If you just want to sit down and enjoy the view, get a table near the window. After 10pm, the DJ spins dance music (anything from top 40s to dance tunes) so you can boogie on down too. Between 3 - 9pm and 12 - 1am, drinks are 50% off. Try the martinis and mojitos. Cover charge is $20.
If you're afraid of heights, check out Introbar at the ground floor.
Dress Code: No shorts or slippers.
The New Asia Bar is on the 71st and 72nd floors of Raffles City Complex and is part of the Equinox Complex (Raffles International's Dining Concept which includes Jaan, City Space, IntroBar and Equinox the Restaurant).
Service is almost consistently bad (they always charge wrongly, so do check your bills) and it does not always attract the right crowd (have seen people looked like they are in their late teens on group dates, getting seriously drunk before 10pm).
But the drinks on the beverage list are 50% off during Happy Hours (3pm - 9pm and 12am onwards) every single day. The place also has superb Magherita pizza, and an impressive view over Singapore, so overall, it qualifies as a great chill-out place if you are in good company.
Food Menu can be accessed from their website.
Dress Code: Smart casual, but can get away with jeans and sneakers in the day.
Located on the 70th floor of the tallest hotel in Singapore, New Asia Bar's been doing brisk business drawing in locals and tourists alike looking for a good view with their evening out. Brought two visiting friends over to check it out and paid the cover charge (SGD 25) as we weren't hotel guests.
Go early; when we went around 9:30 there was not queue at the door but by 10:30pm there was already a long queue of about 30 people waiting.
We found the service to be average. A friend was looking for a non-alcoholic option but server had no clue what the bar had for that (?!!) Just not what you'd expect from a place of this calibre.
But must say that the view is truly superb and worth the trip itself. Was not crazy about the music but would like to think that the DJ was just warming up... we were there a teensy bit early.
3.00pm to 1.00am (Sun to Tues)
3.00pm to 2.00am (Wed & Thurs)
3.00pm to 3.00am (Fri & Sat)
On the highest floor of the Swisstotel de Stamford (the highest hotel in Singapore), the bar / club offers a great view of the city at night. Move to the bar at then end for a great view of Boat Quay.
Good for dinner and drinks before 8 pm. Pizza and some pub grub like calamari and grilled salmon skewers are yummy! Also excellent cocktails.
Packed with locals, expats and tourists alike after ten p.m.
Dress Code: No shorts, flip flops.. Smart casual
Located at the 71st storey of the highest hotel in the world, the view from New Asia Bar and also the Equinox restaurant next to it is great.
