May want to bring a light sweater/jumper

Luggage and bags: The average daily temperature is around 32 c. or 95 degrees f. If you plan to go into any shopping centers for any length of time- you may want a sweater. The airconditioning in Singapore's shopping centers is quite strong. After being in a movie theater-you could be quite stiff and uncomfortable from the cold air.

    Ain't Bring Anything

by rinxie Written Jan 24, 2005 20 reviews

Luggage and bags: An empty lugguage will suffice to hold all your souvenirs and a new wardrobe..lol.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: For those who can afford, maybe you need not bring anything but an empty lugguage. You can buy most if not all the things which you would normally need to bring for travel.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Pharmacies are everywhere...

    Warm and Sunny!

Luggage and bags: Singapore is a tropical island and there's no need to pack long john or heavy jackets, no matter which month of year you are coming. Save the space for souvenirs!!! =) Pack Light. Shades would be good.

Singaporeans are pretty casual in our dressing, bermudas, sports sandals and sleeveless are very common here.

of course Nov- Dec would be cooler and there would be more rainfall.

Bring an umbrella or raincoat along.

I really suffered in jeans and a jumper!!!

Luggage and bags: Nothing specific, but there is an excellent left luggage service at Changi airport

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: It is ridiculously hot and sticky, shorts and T-shirt are the order of the day, you cannot comprehend how humid it is untill you get there

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Plenty of water, you dehydrate quickly

Photo Equipment: Always take a camera, wherever you are travelling!

    Dress for the Tropics

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Just pack for hot weather. Even when it rains, Singapore remains warm. That means, COTTON!!! Sleeveless, shorts, sandals for the women, plus maybe jeans for a night out! The men can do the same- lightweight shirt, cargo shorts/pants, sandals or sneakers...

    Miscellaneous: Skip the chewing gum!!!

    Can Buy Most Things Here

by akikonomu Written Sep 20, 2003 467 reviews

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Luggage and bags: Airport facilities are good so quite unlikely bags will get severly damaged.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Light cotton clothings and light sweater for rainy days. But most clothes can be bought upon arrival (see shopping)

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Easy access to pharmacies and doctors

Photo Equipment: Easy access to film, developing centres and hardware

Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: Definitely bring your bikinis and beach gear

Miscellaneous: Sunglasses, hats for the bright, sunny days
