This street is THE place to come to look for some of the most fabulous fabrics you’ll ever see. The whole street is lined with fabric stores, but you can also find oriental carpets, pashminas, batik shirts etc. The prices aren’t necessarily cheap but just haggle and they will lower their prices. Tailors in Singapore tend to be on the expensive side but all of the stores here have someone they recommend. I used the one recommended by the store I bought my fabrics from and although not cheap the end result was really good.
What to buy: Arab Street is especially good for embroidered lace, but silk (not silk brocade, which is better found in Chinatown), cotton, linen, raw silk etc. can be found here too.
What to pay: Whatever your budget

Address: Arab Street
check out this narrow road with shophouses on both sides while u are in the kampong glam/arab st area. There's a growing number of boutiques specialising in youth /urban wear and accessories. Shops usually open between 12pm-8pm. But don't expect anything too conventional.
There's also a shop selling 2nd hand japanese clothes. Price from $2up.
What to buy: beads/accesories/tops/jeans
