Changi Airport, Singapore
Nice way to Shop hehehe. What can I say, I love to shop even at Airports and Airport Duty Free Shops Tickle My Fancy that's why I'm having a hard time not buying stuffs when in airports. DFS Venture Shops offer one of the Widest Array of Duty Free Goods and Luxury Brands all in One Roof in a large International Airport and rivals Hong Kong Duty Free Shops in Sheer Size and number of Things they offer and sell but a tip, Duty Free does not necessarily mean cheap! the goods may be tax free but the profit margin maybe not! keep an keen eye on purchases!
What to buy: Hmmm let me see, how about Duty Free Cigarettes and Spirits like Moet and Chandon or Hennessy. How about Prada or Hermes or Louis Vuitton! Godiva or Valrhona Chocolates! the choice are endless!
What to pay: Duty Free Shops are like the slot machines in casinos, you are tempted allways! And being a shopping person I am allways tempted so when in Duty free shop especially with many Luxury Brands, you can MAXX out your Credit Card!
There are alot of shops at Changi Airport. It was developed as a shopping mall, if you can call it that. For ladies, the cosmetics are definitely way cheaper than those in the city, even more discounted than just the 5%VAT/GST. So stock up on those here.
There's also a few local souvenirs shops around, as well as the most important Liquor section where you can buy the wine/beer at nearly half price than in the city (restrictions apply though, one of each type of liquor per passport)
If you want to have the latest scents of perfumes/colognes..Duty Free is the best place to be. Since all of the perfumes here have testers, you can select the scent that most suits your mood.
What to pay: The cost depends on the brand and the net weight of the perfume.
Great varieties and good price, especially books and cosmetic products. Not really a good place to buy electronics.
What to buy: books and cosmetics
What to pay: Singapore dollar and US dollar
