This tip is for the shopaholics bound for Singapore..... ;-)
I had the day off today and went shopping downtown. Decided to give Raffles City a miss and so crossed over to CHIJMES to check out the 'touristy' shops there, having heard that Peter Hoe (of KL reputation) has 2 wonderful boutiques there.
True enough, the Peter Hoe shops are filled to the brim with interesting eclectic decor pieces and smart ethnic-inspired clothes. Made a mental note to come back again in Nov-Dec to do some Christmas shopping.
Best of all, I discovered a tiny boutique selling owner-designed dresses - Mignon. The salesgirl was so patient and friendly, and I ended up buying a dress and a very unusual patchwork blouse made of silk.
What to pay: range USD 50 for a silk blouse up to USD 200 for a embroidered silk dress.
