Raffles arcade & Raffles shopping mall: Shopping

    by jv_impossible Written May 11, 2008

For bag lovers, drop by at Loius Vuitton Raffles Hotel shopping arcade. My wife was able to bought one there becuase it was much cheaper compared to our home country. Actually, when we were in Kuala Lumpur, same bag there costs more. And they actually admitted to us that it's a little cheaper in Singapore because of the demand. Actually, in Singapore they have 4 Louis Vuitton stores. When your'e under time constraint, avoid going to Orchard Takashimaya-L V branch, the long queue in going inside the store is but normal there. You might end up consuming lot of your shopping time. Also, when we dropped by at Raffles Shopping mall, TopShop and Marks & Spencer is also on sale.

What to buy: for women-bags (esp. LV bag much cheaper than Malaysia)
for men- Marks & Spencer (i bought a shirt & a set of underwear...)
Others-chocoate biscuits, raisinets, etc. at Marks & Spencer, Ipod case at Harvey Norman
electonic items- bought a Toshiba 4GB USB flash drive at Harvey Norman for S$55 or US$41(before S$79). Also computer notebooks here are on sale (May 2008), Compq 2.2GHZ C2D 160GB HD,multi DVD writer, etc. costs S$1,799 or US$1,360.

What to pay: costs much cheaper compared with Malaysia and the Phils.

Raflles City Shopping Complex: Busy Cross-Road

Raffles City is a major intersection with City Hall MRT station as well as bus routes..

It houses the tower hotel of Swissotel. There are many shops to spend your entire day and restaurants.

There is a new extended basement floor of shops with MPH bookstore.

There are a few computerized water fountain that draw first time visitors and have a soothing effect to add the right ambience after a hard day work or a hard day of shopping.

    Eter from the MRT

I was enjoying myself while watching this big shopping center. A lot of people and more clothes all around. For women, men and other stores ...

What to pay: As much as you have ... actually that counts for every shopping complex... haha
