Air Asia Airlines to KL then Tiger Airways to SG

Time is Gold!
If you want to save time due to a limited vacation, taking the plane is the best way to travel!

When we went to Singapore, we thought of visiting Malaysia too since it's very near to the country.
By the time we had the chance to have a very exciting escapade back then, we booked through Air Asia airlines to fly to Kuala Lumpur and Tiger Airways to go back to SG.

Air Asia and Tiger Airways are air buses, just like the Cebu Pacific of PHL, making it very affordable to cross country anytime.

Travel from SG to KL and vice versa takes only about an hour compared to taking the train that will take 6 hours.

Time is very much valuable. You can work on how to earn more money you’ve spent everytime you travel but getting back the wasted time, is the most impossible thing.

With Singapore Airways over the Alps to south

Of course it is a long way from Germany to Singapore and there are much ways-
but the best way for me-
in remembering -
was to travel with Singapore Airways-
maybe cause with the first step at airfield Frankfurt inside in the Airplane
seems a feeling of the special atmosphere of Singapore.

Same together from the tourist informations, the special food and a friendly and good service in the long time onboard- even while crossing periods of difficult weather, so sometimes is in the gulf of Bengal.

Usually is able some get juice or snacks between the meals in the dark time when the cabin light is off.

Here at Photo short after Start in Frankfurt in late summer 2006 , just over the ice of Alpes.

At the second photo you see it is a good travelling- even after 10 hours - the Singapore Airways stewardess just offer the breakfast with tea, coffee, juice or (Singapore) Tiger beer.. very good.

If you have a lot of time to wait around at Chang Airport, have a look on Changi Airport's website. They have designated napping areas per the link below and load of suggestions for other things to do to fill in your time:

Singapores Changi airport is one of my favorite airports in this world. Lot´s of space there and few lines and free wifi as long as you sign up at the information counter. This is an extremely efficient airport to travel to and from and there is excellent public transportation to and from the airport too.

I only spent a hour here each way on my flight to and from Bali. What little time I did have here was relaxing and a welcome break in the flight. The airport design is stunning and the place is so clean and spacious. I don't normally enjoy my time in airports, but I wouldn't have minded a bit longer here to explore it.

Tiger airways.

Tiger airways is a singaporian budget airline that connects Singapore with several Asian countries aswell as Australia.
They have very competitive fares and you should check them out for good deals if going to or from Singapore.
It´s a budget airline so you will need to pay for food and drink there, but i have been quite happy with their seats and their service when i have flown them and i consider them quite a lot better than most european budget airlines for instance.

they provide many times a day airline trips to and from singapore and is cheaper than Singapore Airlines so in our Revisit, we took this airline since I am a member of It's Mabuhay Miles Club. PAL, what philippine airlines is called is older than cathay pacific making it Asia's Oldest Airline (and trivia-only PAL and Other Philippine Carriers are not subsidized by the Governent, bucking the trend in the rest of asia wherein other National carriers are heavily subsidiez by their Governments like Singapore Airlines, Thai Air, Malaysian Air, Royal Brunei, Emirates, Japan Airlines and others). Its main hub is at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal II in the city of Pasay Philippines.

Picture of the plane I took to Bali

Well if you want to fly budget airlines then I think you should try JetStarAsia / Value Air. Its not as cheap as AirAsia but you treated to nice friendly staff and you fly in a descent plane. I flew from Singapore to Bali and I enjoyed the flight. They served a light meal as well and I guess I never had a problem with delayed flights.

Singapore: MRT To Budget Terminal

Retail Outlets After Immigration. Relax here

Wish to travel from a MRT station to the Changi Budget Terminal?

1. Take the MRT to Changi Airport using the green line. E.g. from Lavendar MRT it costs SGD3.00 approx (Dec 2010)

2. When on the green line - you may not necessarily be on the train heading directly to Changi as there is a "fork" in Tanah Merah splitting between Pasir Mas and Changi. Tip: get off at Tanah Merah and board the "middle platform" (there are 3 platforms at Tanah Merah).

3. When you arrive at Changi - this is not yet the budget terminal. Align from the MRT that terminates at Changi and look out for the signs that read "Bus/Shuttle to Budget Terminal". Tip: Get your SGD1.00 refund if you are using the MRT temporary ticket/card. You can do this at the ticket machines.

4. Keep your eyes peeled for the signs that say "Bus/Shuttle to Budget Terminal". You will go through several corridors and arrive at an underground bus terminal. There will be many buses ready to take you to different parts of Singapore including the budget terminal. This can be confusing. Either ask around or look up at the roof or top of the supporting pillars with yellow signs. Look for the sign that says "Budget Terminal". The buses should appear every 10-15 minutes. It also takes you 10-15 minutes to get you to the budget terminal. There is no charge when taking the shuttle bus and it is FREE.

Good luck :)

P/S Last Tip: Once you have cleared immigration at the budget terminal - there are still many Food & Beverage outlets including plenty of retail outlets before you reach your Flight Gates. You can hang out here in comfort while waiting to board your flight
