The show will be performed at 11AM and 3PM local time at Pools Amphitheater, the left side of Lory Main Station. No entrance fee for the show, and it will be around 30-40minutes.Be on time so you will get the great seats (middle-area). Many varieties of birds will perform their skills to the audience with their trainers. After the show, you may take some pictures with the bird stars for around 10Sing$ (Jan2007) with your own camera and they will give a VCD about Jurong Bird Park too. Great time there and more fun, especially for your kids!! Jurong Bird Park - Penguine Parade by imstress Visit the largest bird park in SEA. It is located at Jurong, western part of Singapore . The waterfall Aviary is the highest man-made waterfall at 30 metres. A must see is the Penguin Parade and their All Stars Birdshow at the Amphitheatre. Enjoy an airconditioned Panorail ride for an overview of the park ($4). The Walk-in Aviary is a must visit as the birds are kept in this netted enclosure. The lory loft is worth a visit too as u come up close and personal with the birds. You can have your refreshements at the Flamingo Lode. You can have your breakfast with the birds at 9.30am at the Songbird Terrace. Opens from 9am to 5pm. Admission fee is $16 (Oct 06) My Pics taken at Jurong Bird Park http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=4289060671 Leave a Comment Phone: (65) 6-265-0022Directions: Take the MRT to Boon Lay Station, and transfer to SBS Bus #194 or 251 at the Boon Lay Bus Interchange.Website: http://www.birdpark.com.sg/

You may see the website for the entrance fee and opening hours. I am going to tell you about my short trip in this park. A mini beautiful fountain will welcome you at the entrance. Get your park map at the main gate. Take a short view in Penguin Parade area on your right after the entrance. It is not really exciting view for me, because all of them will be in a glass room, kinda feeling quilty of it after seeing The Happy Feet Movies. Go to the Lory main station first to have a look of the birdpark quickly. Keep your tickets because you will go down in some lory stations. You may go down and get in the lory on the same lory station with that one ticket. The first stop will be Lory Loft. Buy a cup of nectar and feed the birds there. Many colorful birds and watch out with your heels on the bridge. The second station will be Waterfall station. After the waterfall, you will see a small show on how they feed some species of the birds with the insects. I wasnt brave enough to do that though.:-)After that, you will be headed to the main station again. Great view of the park on the lory. Do not miss the all birdstar show at 11am and 4pm (see my tip about it). You may take lovely pictures with the bird at Photography with Birds Area, just across the lory main station. Dont forget to see some Jurong souvenir shops near the exit door. Bring your water, camera, and tissue papers. Ohhh and DON`T WORRY WITH THE BIRD FLU HERE.

Up close and personal, Jurong Bird Park by Hewer Even if you`re not into birds, you`ll have an enjoyable time at Jurong Bird Park. I was half-hearted about going but it ended up being a great day out. There are numerous shows and demonstrations throughout the day. The two most popular shows are the "Birds of Prey Show" (10am and 4pm) and the "All Star Bird Show" (11am and 3pm). One thing not be missed is the "Lory Loft", where you can walk out on a platform among 1000 lorikeets inside a massive aviary. There`s a neat little cafe beside it too.... (The taxi back to Orchard is about $12 if you can`t be bothered with public transport after walking all day ;-)Website: http://www.birdpark.com.sg/

Jurong Bird Park by tophat30 It's very much worth to spend a day in this park. Make sure you don't miss the Birds of Prey show at 1000 at the Fuji Hawk Walk. It's very entertaining apart from educational. Also make sure that you see the largest man made waterfall in the world. It's in the waterfall aviary at the furthest North of the park. Leave a Comment

Not your conventional Aviary, this is set up like a zoo and is nearly as extensive as all but your most major zoos. It has many bird shows and chances to interact with the residents. Leave a Comment

world's largest man made waterfall by trisanna If you enjoy watching birds-this is a great diversion in Singapore. There are lots of birds from all over the world that make their home here. My favorite part is the large aviary-which has the world's largest man made waterfall. In the aviary, birds fly freely. You can even put some mealworms in your hand (for a small fee) and watch as the birds swoop down and grab them. Great for kids. Leave a Comment

A bird park is a bird park, you say. Well, actually no. You will see a waterfall in the park, you will ride on a monorail and before you know it - you'll feel like you're in the middle of the jungle. The parrots are well trained. There's even a picnic ground. Quite nice...

Jurong Bird Park is a lovely way to spend a few hours. A monorail operates which gives you an overview of the park. From the beautiful bird displays to the lovely landscaping, even if you are not a bird fanatic you will enjoy yourself.
