This little area of land had its own charisma! I think I was able to see this as I stayed here. If the amazing restaurants owned by culinary geniuses don't baffle you, the numerous gold shops and asian clothing shops will!! All in all, a good visit, as its free and relaxing! Deepavali is a colorful festival that is celebrated by all Hindus in Singapore, which is also known as the festival of lights One important practice that the Hindus follow during the festival is to light oil lamps in their homes on Deepavali morning. By lighting the oil lamps, the Hindus are thanking the gods for the happiness, knowledge, peace and wealth that they have received. The Hindus consider Deepavali as one of the most important festivals to celebrate. http://bojomacaraig.blogspot.com Directions: Near central Singapore

Deepavali is a festival of lights for the Indians which is held during the second week of november. When I was there, they were preparing to celebrate the festival. The main road was decorated with lamps. If you are there during the festival, you should definitely check it out. Leave a Comment

It's enjoyable to walk through this part of town, looking at the various stalls, and eating some good curry. I recommend taking an hour or so to stroll through this part of town. Leave a Comment Directions: Near central Singapore

You may almost forget that you're in Singapore once you get to Little India. You wont see many Chinese eyes in this area. The buildings are painted colorfully. Along the main road, Serangoon Rd, there are packed with shops selling from food to gold ornaments. An interesting area. The total different feel and atmosphere are found in this little district, Little India. Leave a Comment Directions: Near central Singapore. Little India MRT.
