Sentosa Island is a tiny island just off Singapore, to be fair, Singapore is a tiny island so Sentosa is minute. There are a few different ways to get to Sentosa, there's a monorail, a road. I'm guessing you can probably go by boat as well, but by far the most spectacular way of visiting is the cable car.
It's quite high up (you have to get a lift to the 15th floor of a skyscraper to get to it) so not for those with a fear of heights. For those feeling very brave you can take a car with a glass bottom, not me, the ordinary cars are scary enough. It takes about 15 minutes to cross and the views are stunning.
Sentosa has a couple of aquarium type experiences, the main aquarium which is very good. Air conditioned (which is essential!) and very well thought out. The second is a dolphin lagoon, which isn't air conditioned and is right on the beach. They're at opposite ends of the island so take the beach train (free of charge) that patrols up and down the beach.
There are a few decent bars on the beach and some nice looking restaurants, we were only visiting on our final day in Singapore before leaving for home so only had chance to try one bar and one restaurant but both were good.
The beach is man made and very clean, full of children playing volleyball or basketball. The only downside is all the container ships waiting out at sea to enter the harbour, but you soon forget all about them.
Monkeys abound on Sentosa, so much so I almost crashed headfirst into one whilst walking down to the aquarium! Don't feed them, they're like the pigeons in the UK, a bit of a menace.

This attraction is associated with Underwater world and is included in the Underwaterworld ticket price. The show is Ok, but the seating which are plastic chairs on the beach makes the show hard to see. The show is not very spectacular to begin with.

As we were walking around Sentosa island, we came across to a topic about snakes. Since both me and my daughter has a great respect and i'd rather say phobia of these Ding, we thought not to go and see the snake performer right there where we were. But my nephew grabbed the chance to let us overcome this fear and persuaded us to hold the snakes.
I think i made it ( a bit) but my daughter .....never!
Afterall, we had fun and i guess you will have the same :)

They are just to fantastic. This was my first glimse of a pink dolphin. Aparantly they get the pinky colour due to something that is in the water that they feed on.
At the Dolphin Lagoon in Sentosa, visitors will get to witness the rare pink Indo-Pacific Humpback Dolphins perform their natural behaviors such as spyhop, tail -flapping, vocalizations, etc. Lucky visitors might even score a peck on the cheek, or a chance to wade next to these wonderful and highly intelligent marine mammals, fully supervised by the trainers, of course.

Located in Sentosa Island, which always remodels and reinvents itself. This Underwater World is a rival of the Waterworld of Bangkok and Atoll Reef of Hongkong and Manila Oceanarium of the Philippines. In the Underwater World, you can see brightly colored fish amidst the coral life or watch seahorses anchored to plants. The rare and exotic marine mammal, the Dugong will intrigue visitors with its graceful movements. Catch a glimpse of deadly sea creatures like the Moray Eel, the Stone Fish, Lion Fish, Porcupine Fish or the Leopard Shark. Many marine species, such as the black tip and white tip sharks, eagle rays and big-belly seahorses, breed and thrive in the Underwater World. Also, there is a very large aquarium features a long walkalator-through fiberglass tank where you can experience sharks and rays swimming right over your head; especially liked the little sea dragons, relatives of the sea horse.

Old Pictures in Sentosa Island, Pulau Belakang Mati or Sentosa Island was originally a fishing village in the 1800's and when then the British then made a militay camp and a fort named siloso here as coastal battery defense of Singapore. Captured by the Japanese in 1942 and returned by the British to Singapore, today, Sentosa is an island complex with a themed attraction, tropical resort, nature park and heritage centre all rolled into one! Just minutes away from the city by cable car, ferry or road. This small 390 hectare island at the southern tip of singapore is boasting a kaleidoscope of attractions and activities.
