When I visited Sentosa Island in November 2005, I bought an entrance ticket (at a cost of S$56.90) which included entrance to the Underwater World aquarium as part of the package.
This large aquarium houses thousands of different types of fish, jellyfish, eels, sharks, coral and other sea life. These range from small goldfish to large sharks, including a wide range of tropical fish such as the impressive fluorescent "Sea Angels".
One of the highlights of the aquarium is the "Touch Tank", where children (or young at heart adults) can put their hands into a water tank and touch and pick up various types of fish, starfish and even baby sharks.
The aquarium's main attraction is an 83 metre long underwater tunnel which transports visitors on a conveyor belt while sharks and schools of fish swim overhead. From here, you can see the fish being fed from buckets by the aquarium's staff.
The entrance fee for Underwater World also entitles guests to visit the Dolphin Lagoon, but I didn't bother to do so.
Had entrance to Underwater World not been included in my ticket price, I probably wouldn't have paid the invidual price to go inside. It is very impressive as aquariums go, but there were plenty of other attractions on the island that I would have preferred to spend the money on. If you're travelling with kids, you'll probably want to make Underwater World one of your priorities while visiting Sentosa.
Underwater World is open daily from 9am - 9pm.
If you don't buy a package which includes entrance to Underwater World, prices are as follows:
Adults: S$19.50
Kids (3-12 years old): S$12.50
Underwater World can be reached on foot from the entrance of Sentosa, or can be reached via one of the free buses that stop right outside.
The underwater World is situated on Sentosa Island (a state-of-the-art leisure and educational attraction) showcasing the rich variety of marine life to be found around the region, with educational and recreational activities available here.
Visitors can start their journey passing brightly coloured corals and all kinds of exotic ocean-dwellers along the way and finally arrive at a spectacular 83m long acrylic tunnel, home to great shoals of fish, prowling predators and a host of other creatures that inhabit the ocean depths.
You will enjoy the Underwater world if you like sea creatures (seahorse, jellyfish) and fish. The highlight was the glass tunnel and sea horse exhibit. You could spend a couple of hours here. But, we ended up spending about 30 minutes or so to walk through the entire aquarium.
Quite small but very interesting - lots of sea creatures to look at...there are also opportunities to feed turtles and swim with sharks, among other things, but I think you need to book ahead for that.
Try to avoid going there in a weekend, as it is crowded!
Underwater World Singapore, situated on Sentosa Island...at here You'll have some fantastic views of the sea life all around you.

I would highly recommend underwater world at Sentosa island. It gives you a view of aqautic life that you have never seen before. You are in a tunnel, underneath a large aquarium. The fish, sharks, & other animals will swim just inches above you!
I will warn you that it is relatively expensive. I believe it was about $24 Singapore dollars. (thats about $16 US dollars)
The Underwater World oceanium is one of the many attractions to visit on the Sentosa island just outside Singapore. Here you can watch over 250 different water living animals.
The best of the Underwater World is to walk thorough the aquarium, with all different fishes surrounding you.
This is Singapore's mini aquarium. I guess it does a good job. There is something for everyone, even though the admission price is steep. In the front of the building -they have a section, where you can touch the fish inside the small tank. The kids think this great, while the fish look quite scared.
The highlight of this place is the tube like aquarium-that you pass under and around it by peoplemover. It's a clever system. Also keeps people moving. Fish swim above and around you. Cool with sharks.
Also, if you have scuba certification-you can dive here.
I really enjoyed the jellyfish tanks.
Sentosa - Underwater World
Venture into the ocean's depth via a moving travellator thatferries you through an 83-metre long acryllic tunnel while all around you, sharks, stingrays, eels and schools of fish glide past.
The Night Ocean Discovery programme begins at 7pm daily and is your chance to view a totally different world where nocturnal sea creatures come to life as night falls.
Admission S$17.30 9am-9pm
Once you're in Sentosa, you can just not skip the Underwater World, specially if you dont dive or snorkle at all... its your chance to see the fishes and others that you didnt know they existed before.
Went there on late Saturday afternoon, the place got quite crowded. It may be better if you go there late morning or early afternoon.
The ticket is 17 something SGD and this price includes the Dolphin show.
