There are lots of interaction, videos, and learning in this place. Singapore was lucky to have an active circle of science teachers who are behind the development of this beautiful project. Many little kids were with us on that day, playing and exploring the optical illusions, and looking over the amazing exhibits. Don’t be fooled by the small architecture of the center. You’ll realize there are plenty of exhibits to go to, once you’re inside. So much more, it may take approximately four hours for you to wander around.
Don't miss:
*To catch Einstein rappelling at the atrium.
*Spot some bewly hatched chicks at the incubated eggs section.
*Take a photo of your head on a table.

A good idea is to look for the Science center, not only if the weather is not so good.
There is even some for the fans of Astronomy like me- with planetarium and little observatory but special look in nearby Omni Theatre (at picure right seen). In there was (in year 2000, as we visited it after a hint by "Sky and Telescope Magazine") -
a good sorted Astronomy Shop.
So if you forgot for the south heaven to have a little or greater instrument you are there at right place!
Search for more at the Astronomy site:
www.astronomy-shops.com
and look for "Singapore"!
(or search for more in www.skyandtelescope.com )
At the Photo a view to the site at evening, it was just a little shower -
but later clouds went away and the weather got quite clear.

You can watch a few display of using science for entertainment. In addition, I think a visit to the eco-garden is a must and a place where most people missed. You can also catch a show in the omni-theatre and a visit to the snow city to spice up your day. If possible, check the days to visit the observatory. My favourite activity....Star gazing...best time is in March as you can see most of the nine planets.

Yup, there's indeed science all around us. Life is science and what better way to appreciate it than to go to the interactive Singapore Science Centrum. My daughter was with us during our trip to Singapore last year. At the airport where you see several brochures and leaflets, she picked out one that had interested her. And, you guessed right, she took that one of the Singapore Science Centrum. What can you do there? Oh a lot of things. like I said, it is interactive. There's a film showing (for a fee, that is) on the Nile River but I believe they change the features every so often. There're the dioramas, the shopping arcade, the exhibits, etc. They have somehow mixed some thingamajigs from all science fields and created a world of "magic" using them. Kids will certainly love the museum and adults will have fun too themselves. They even have a Mcdonalds store there in case you get hungry from the exploring. It is science that you can enjoy. Did I mention you can get there by MRT?

If you are travelling with kids do bring them to Singapore Science Centre.
They will get a hands on experience and increase their interest in Science as there are more than 600 exhibits and interactive displays.
The Singapore Science Centre main target audience are the children but the fact and princples are just as appealing to the adults.
Head over to the Omnimax Theatre and Snow City just next door.
Singapore Science Centre Admission is S$6 Adults, S$3 Child
Omnimax Theatre Admission S$10 per Adult per movie, S$5 per Child per movie

Singapore science center is located at Jurong. I went there with my sister in 2004 because they had a Lord of the Rings exhibition.
Apart from the traveling exhibitions they also have a state-of-the-art science exhibits that are interactive and would be a lot of fun for the kids. The exhibitions are organized based on categories like waterworks, space, electronics and the human body.
If you are not visiting with kids then unless there's an interesting traveling exhibition you might want to skip this 'museum'.
It's open from 10am to 6pm from Tuesday through Sunday. Admission costs $6

This place is good even for adults! Really... this is probably the best science centre I've ever been too. The amount of scientific exhibits is huge and the shows are great. I watched the Tesla Coil show when I was there - it was superb. This is a great place especially for family and children. The children will enjoy the wet park outside the center. (Can't remember the charges for that). Take a peek at the souvenir shop too as there are an assortment of weird items for sale. You can also try watching a 3D movie at the omni-theater, but this usually makes me feel dizzy.
Entry is $6 for the science exhibit and $10 if you lump in the omnitheater. Opens 10am - 6pm. Closed on Mondays, school & public holidays.

The Science Center is a great place to visit, if for nothing else than the IMAX theater, (the only one in Singapore). If you have kids, I highly recommend the Science Center part of the tour, as there are a lot of interactive activities for the kids. As an adult, it is OK, but the primary focus is the IMAX. The 45 minute shows are informative and entertaining...well worth the small admission price.
