A good variety of floral and fauna. A wonderful nature oasis in this city.

  • As a lover of animals this was one place which was high on my list. I also came here on a business trip so to speak, to gather information for Kuala Gandah on the way in which the elephants live and how they are treated.

As for the zoo itself, its exhibits are some of the most humane i have seen in a zoo, with no fences per say, but moats instead making the habitats more natural. Something many other zoos need to learn about!

  • Going on the night safari was one of my most memorable moments in SIngapore!!

As I was waaay too young to go clubbing or barring, night times were usually boring for me and my family. Also, a lot of the sights we wanted to see, we saw during the day, but this place was absolutely perfect! I mean I personaly don't know any other countries who have this...I'm sure there are but I am very impressed!! (Please tell me if this is a common thing...I've recently foun out I'm quite naive!!)

There are different ways that you can see animals at this place. There is a tour that can be taken in a tram or, for the braver people, there are allocated pathways to trek on foot. I didn't take this option as I thought, knowing my luck, I would run into a snake or something soimilar, and scream the place down!! Obviously that is not possible but the insecurity remained!

I had never been that close to wild animals without glass or tall fencing between us. It was soooooooo amazing!

The gift shop was lovely too, selling all sorts of goodies - stuffed teddies, little models, and just the usual stuff they sell but the layout was totally cool!!

I would recommend this to everyone, it is safe for children, there are facilities for wheelchairs and pushchairs, as its under the stars it can be romantic...infact, I'm going to pack my bags and go there now!

  • Hummm....maybe I was expecting to much but I can't recommend this . I bought a combo transportation and safari ticket for about S28.00 . when you get there you line up same as for a disney ride and a tram takes you through . The animals look pretty bored ( or asleep)and are often in a very fake and staged environment.

This is one I could have missed!!

  • If you are fond of wild animals, this is the place for you. This is a recommeded place to visit. Most of the animals here are rare from other zoo and nocturnal. I was surorised to see Hayenas and how big they are. Whats really great about the park is the animals are not caged but safe for the viewers. This is an amazing zoo. You should not miss the show before the tour it is free so come early because the line gets too long on weekends. The show will demonstarte the animals trained to do acts on the show. it is really entertaining and fun.

  • Lots of exotic animals in enclosures which are as close to their natural habitats as possible. A rather humane zoo, compared to some awful ones I've seen; as much as it can get for keeping animals in captivity I suppose.

Has rare animals like pandas from China or golden monkeys (from ?) on "exchange".. haha!

Lush greenery, good for a stroll anyway.
