    The Arts House

Singapore's oldest Government building has been converted into a contemporary arts venue with riverfront restaurants and bars. The performances in the former Parliamentary Debating Chamber are worth checking out. Designed and built by George Coleman as a colonial mansion in 1827, this was the former Parliament House. The Arts House now boasts the intimacy of a home with cutting-edge music, dance, film, comedy and theatre by Singaporean and international artists.
Guided tours (SGD 8/person) are conducted daily at 11am-3pm. Each tour lasts 45 minutes (includes short film and drink).

Admission is FREE and guided tours are $8. Inside you can also find out about the History of the house and about all the interesting people who once lived in it.

Great Colonial architecture, interesting look at Singaporean contemporary art and a little touch of Singapore's history.
