Cebu Pacific Airline

From Bangkok going to Siem Reap - there's an airline called CEBU PACIFIC (www.cebupacificair.com) but the route is BKK - (via Philippines)- Siem Reap - but the price is cheaper and they do always gives promo on a specific travel period or until seats last. You may try it then. c",)

Sentosa Express: getting to Sentosa Island

Sentosa Express

From the North-East Line MRT, alight from the Harbourfront station then you may take any of the following transportations- Sentosa Express and RWS8.

There are also other numerous ways on how to get to Sentosa Island from the Singapore's business district for a 10 minutes travel- buses, cable cars, cabs or a leisure walk on the Sentosa Boardwalk.

I find the Sentosa Express the best way on how to get there due to convenience and budget. Sentosa Express is located on the 3rd level of Vivo city mall, fare's SGD3.

I also prefer a more budget way to get to the Resorts World Sentosa through the Sentosa Boardwalk. No fee. It's just a literal stroll in a park and a long journey to the island so if you love walking, this one's for you! You can't be bored and you wouldn't mind the long walk due to the beautiful and colorful surroundings in the boardwalk.

Getting around...... Visitors Centre @ Orchard

taken from Hop on Hop off bus- Chinatown

Singapore has many choices regarding getting around......
The MRT is #1 choice, because it goes just about everywhere, is fast, efficient and safe. The route maps are well incicated, with different colors.
Buses are frequent and bus-passes are available from Visitor Centre at Changi Airport or Orchard Road.
Taxis are cheap and plentiful.
The Hop/on Hop/off buses are good and there are a number of companies to choose from.
They cover the tourist attractions in many areas, have a commentary in English, and are very affordable. The air-con on the bus will revive you from the heat and humidity. They do a loop, and within 30mins there is one to collect you from wherever you may have hopped off.
Should you need further assistance, I recommend going to th Visitor Centre in Orchard Road. We found the staff very helpful. They gave excellent advice, and provided free maps and booklets.

i have a bad experience with their transfer service when the didn't pick me on time from Universal Studios to my Hotel. Since it's my first time in Universal i avail their services to my convenience but it turned out otherwise. i waited for almost an hour at the waiting area. i should've taken a cab but i paid for the transfer.

and secondly, they didn't picked me up on my hotel to transfer me to the airport. good thing the concierge is kind to usher me to a free shuttle bus to the airport. thats why next time. i'm to going to take any transfer services from them instead of having convenience it almost made me fail my flight back.

so now i will be careful in availing such services.

Tiger airways.

Tiger airways is a singaporian budget airline that connects Singapore with several Asian countries aswell as Australia.
They have very competitive fares and you should check them out for good deals if going to or from Singapore.
It´s a budget airline so you will need to pay for food and drink there, but i have been quite happy with their seats and their service when i have flown them and i consider them quite a lot better than most european budget airlines for instance.

Philippine Airlines

they provide many times a day airline trips to and from singapore and is cheaper than Singapore Airlines so in our Revisit, we took this airline since I am a member of It's Mabuhay Miles Club. PAL, what philippine airlines is called is older than cathay pacific making it Asia's Oldest Airline (and trivia-only PAL and Other Philippine Carriers are not subsidized by the Governent, bucking the trend in the rest of asia wherein other National carriers are heavily subsidiez by their Governments like Singapore Airlines, Thai Air, Malaysian Air, Royal Brunei, Emirates, Japan Airlines and others). Its main hub is at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal II in the city of Pasay Philippines.

Ez Link for SMRT Travel in Singapore

First train starts at 0530HRs so you shouldn't worry. What you can do, if the ticketing office at Changi is not opened when you arrive is to buy the one-trip ticket to Orchard as the machines will always be operational.

You can then purchase a Singapore Tourist pass from SMRT ticketing office at Orchard if you wish to travel around in MRT a lot during your stay. http://www.ezlink.com.sg/consumer/consumer_tourist.jsp

Hope this helps :O)
