Aunty Stella eating durian pudding and ice-cream by vic&michael Even if you have tried the "king of fruits" durian, and not liked it, you should try the durian pudding and ice-cream. It's not as pungent and creamy as the real fruit, and a lot of people who don't like the fruit, like the pudding/ice cream. Or maybe use it as a gentle introduction to durian. Leave a Comment Address: Most restaurants will have it for a dessert option

by vic&michael Whenever Michael and I go overseas, we always like to try new and crazy drinks (alcoholic or non-alcholic). The crazier the name, the better! ;- ) We were pleased to find 'Kick-a-poo Joy-Juice" drink in Singapore...tasted like lemon and limes. Very refreshing! Leave a Comment

Michael eating Nasi Lemak and prawn noodles by vic&michael The food is so cheap and so tasty. ($1,2,or 3!) You really should try authentic Singapore food this way. The food stores are all labled with A,B,or C, according to their hygine standards. There are pictures of all that they offer, so just point and choose whatever looks tasty! Leave a Comment

At Singapore zoo, you can have breakfast with the orangutans. It costs about SG$13 for a buffet breakfast. What happens is, you get your coffee/breakfast and eat it, and while you are doing so, some zoo staff walk around and show you snakes that you can touch / hold, and then the orangutans come out and eat their fruit breakfast near you, while you oooh and ahhhh at them. Then you can take photos with them. I enjoyed seeing them so close up. And I learned that an orangutan is 5x stronger than a man! wow! Leave a Comment

This guy charges SG$5 for you to hold his boa constrictor. He doesn't hurry you for time though. You can hold and be amazed and take as many photos for a long time before he asks for his snake back. This snake was so heavy, I could feel its' muscles around me, It was a humbling experience to know that if it wanted to squeeze me, it could do it easily with it's strong muscles. I went from being hesitant/scared to feeling really elated at having a snake draped around me! You should try it! Leave a Comment Directions: Sentosa main walkway area.

Cheers! by vic&michael When in Singapore, you really must try a Singapore Sling drink. I tried it only recently...and my aunties, who live in Singapore, tried it for the first time with me! My honest opinion? Too sweet...too much cherry flavor. But, if you are a lover of sweet cherry flavor? You might love it!! Leave a Comment Address: Any Bar/Restaurant will make one for you!

Esplanada Bridge and Theater by DSwede Walking around the city and the river, you should take a moment to enjoy the Esplanada Bridge and adjacent theater. The small triagular plates on the theater automatically reposition themselves over the course of the day to block out direct sunlight.
