Although a real small museum, gives an interesting view of what and where the people of singapore come from. Great starting place to see singapore culture. Singapore is not particularly big and it is very easy to get about due to a great transport system. Changi museum is worth a look as it tells of the Japanese occupancy of Singapore. Be warned though, some of it is graphic and quite disturbing. Sentosa island is quite good fun with the pink dolphin show being quite entertaining. The long bar at raffles is a must do, the singapore sling is mass produced though and tastes like alcoholic sunny delight, however, for $27, one of the beers (served in what looks like a yard glass) is worth the effort !!! For an amazing view of the city, head up to the 78th floor of the swiss hotel for cocktails at dusk. The 360 degree views are incredible. Zouks nightclub is apparently very good although I ended up there on a Monday... the day it is closed.... next time !!! The city centre with the merlion and opera house are good to see too. Shopping on Orchard Road is also a lot of fun (as long as you have PLENTY of cash !) Little India is a cheap place to stay and eat, I was there during diwali and it was very cool. Also, the chilli crab in Singapore is a bit of a signature dish and well worth having. Leave a Comment

Singapore Zoo is probably the best zoo I have visited. I am not a big fan of animals in captivity but the way the zoo is designed, you don't notice any boundaries on the enclosures. The jungle breakfast is quite cool and the night safari is an absolute must-do ! Also the polar bear feeding, elephant bathing are worth seeing. For me though, the pinnacle of the vists was seeing the white tigers.... they are special ! Leave a Comment

shopping at mustafa center is one of activity. As soon as I have landed in Singapore I make my way straight to little Indian and Orchard Road. Shoppng centre like Takashimaya, the paragon, lucky plaza, centrepoint and the heeren are all located in orchard road. The book shop Kinokuniya is one of the best shop in Takashimaya as well as Louis Vitton,Chanel, Burberry, and zara on orchard road. Leave a Comment Address: orchard road

Beautiful Mosque and nearby area. Perfectly Singapore-style clean surroundings have cozy stores and bars with shaded al-fresco tables where one can refresh for a while before hitting the heat again! Leave a Comment
