Arrive by airplane on Singapore's national carrier - the Singapore Airline Bus: If you travel via Johor Bahru (Malaysia) to Singapore, you can go by SBS (Singapore Bus Service) no. 170 from Larkin bus station in Johor Bahru. Upon arriving in Singapore (at the Woodlands immigration checkpoint), you could continue your journey here boarding SBS no. 170 to the Kranji MRT station or till Queens Street (in city area). Do not lose your bus ticket if you intend to continue your bus ride VIP coach: If you're making Singapore as a stop-over and wish to continue your travel to Malaysia or Thailand, you can buy private coach ticket at Golden Mile Shopping Complex (at Beach Road). Departure time varies, and going by coach is also affordable, for eg. one-way ticket to Kuala Lumpur via Sri Maju costs only SGD23.. Leave a Comment Theme: Other

by cyber_gypsy On Singapore Airlines all the stewardesses are so slim they must be wearing corsets under their uniform, they are all incredibly good looking, they are all efficient, friendly, courteous and young. What does happen when a Singapore girl gets fat or old or wakes up in a bad mood? Leave a Comment Theme: Other

by cyber_gypsy When you arrive at Changi Airport in Singapore and make your way to the immigration desks, the standard, bored guy who makes you feel that you are bit of a nuisance does not meet you. Instead you are met by a person that seems glad you have decided to visit their country and is determined that you WILL have a good time. The airport is light, roomy, well laid out and welcoming. There is even a bowl of sweets on each immigration desk. This is probably the best airport in the world. Leave a Comment Theme: Other

The bridge to Malaysia is easy accessible by bike. (As is most roads in Singapore apart from the highways.) In town you best go by bus or subway. It is cheap and fast (and airconditioned). Leave a Comment Theme: Bus

We got the bus to Singapore from Kuala Lumpur's coach station on Jalan Pudu. The service is comfortable and on the executive class you get a meal - this is worth it as it is only a few ringit more, and you get more space (makes a change from other buses we took!) Leave a Comment Theme: Bus

A swag of airlines fly into Singapore's ultramodern Changi international airport(very proud of this) often voted as one of the best airports in the world. Personal tip:The departure tax on international flights is S$15.Lots of visitors to Singapore combine their stay with a visit to Malaysia, which is just a km away across the causeway over the Straits of Johore. You can travel between Malaysia and Singapore very easily by bus or taxi. Immaculate air-conditioned buses link Singapore to almost all large Malaysian cities; fares are generally inexpensive.Personal tip:Bring a mask to cover your mouth if you can't stand air pollution. Walking is still one of the best ways to get around. Singapore is a compact area with many of its star attractions within walking distance of the city district.Singapore has a frequent and comprehensive bus network and a convenient Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) subway system. Both are cheap and simple to use. There is also a good supply of taxis and all are metered.Too bad rickshaws have disappeared from Singapore's main streets, but can still be found operating in Chinatown and back streets.Personal tip:agree on a fare beforehand!
