Subway or bus: Both are pretty easy to use.Taxi's are pretty inexpensive as well.
It depends. Use the MRT for long distances. It is very cheap especially coming from the airport. Travelling inside the city, use the taxis. Good, honest and cheap.
cartax is very expensive in Signapore but it has one of the best publictransport system in the world. So it's no problem to get around.
So as I sed,the metro is very comfortable and the Bestway to see Singapore.
