Sam Da Soo

by snuggie

Instead of buying the international known brand of mineral water, try Jeju's very own mineral water, Sam Da Soo.It cost only about 300won in supermarket but might be double or triple the price at convenience store.

Beautiful Hagwi~Aewol Shoreline

by jckim

The view from anywhere in or around the beach is Breathtaking. Hikers can encounter lush pine tree forests. The frequent rest stops with benches are lovely places to take a break and savor the view. There are also romantic and stylish pension houses along the shoreline to allure tired tourists. There are one of most beautiful drive shoreline of Jeju.

DOLHARUBANG

by ancient_traveler

Dolharubang ‘stone grandfather ‘ can be seen everywhere. They are black lava statues of a kindly old man. In the old days they were considered guardian deities, but now they are objects for the tourist cameras. Replicas are sold in souvenirs shop and are available in various sizes, ranging from one inch to bigger than life size.

Route 12

by afowles

Route 12 is the road that literally rings around the island. Riding, or driving, along it, you can see the coast of Jeju in all its glory. Keep an eye out on the road signs and make sure you follow the ones that say Coast Road, Coastal Road, or Shore Road, as these will give you breathtaking views of the sea and various harbors. A real treat! You can get around the whole island in a day this way, but make sure to stop along the way for some of the delicious, fresh seafood in any one of the MANY restaurants you will see along the way.

Find your own Jeju..

by itsCharlie

There are a few bike rental shops in Jeju-si-- Mr.Lee's is good. You can get directions from the airport tourist info. For only $25 a day you can explore the island wherever you please. They're the best roads for driving I've seen anywhere in Korea! Quick highways or tons of tiny twisty backroads through the farmland waiting. It's my favorite thing to do on Jeju. Just please go slow in the villages- don't be that guy.

Stalls around Dragon Head Rock

by snuggie

There are many vans selling the famous jeju oranges and they are really very tasty due to the nice climate in jeju island. You may want to bargain a bit although it might not be successful but worth a try!

Gimnyeong~Haengwon Shoreline

by jckim

The water is crystal clear and shallow. The windmill farm in the distance evokes a somewhat exotic atmosphere. This area makes a great stop along the beatiful drive. Nearby attractions ( Gimnyeong Beach/ Manjanggul Cave/ Gimnyeong Maze Park/ Red Pond Herb Farm )

Udo

by iwys

Udo, or Cow Island, is so-named because it is said to resemble the shape of a cow lying down. It is just 17km in circumference and has a population of 1,750, most of whom are farmers, fishermen or divers. it reminded me a bit of a Scottish island. It is treeless and windswept and certainly doesn't have a sub-tropical feel about it. There are three beaches: one white, one red and one black! You can reach the island by ferry from Seongsan ferry terminal on the eastern tip of Jeju-do. Because a passenger ticket is so much cheaper than a car ticket, most people leave their rental cars in the free car park at Seongsan. There are buses waiting to take you round the island, when you step off the ferry.

Mysterious Road

by iwys

Mysterious Road is a stretch of road north of Jeju City, where an optical illusion gives you the very strong impression, when you put your car in neutral and take off the handbrake, that you are rolling uphill. You get the same effect with water or a ball.

Horsing around in Cheju

by bpacker

Drive around and discover grazing horses in cheju. When you look at time, it's not too difficult to think of time when they use to roam free over there. The only horses that you'll find on the island now are studs bred for sale in other countries.Driving Tip: Taken on Route 12, from Sinsan-ri to Seongsan Inchulbong (Sunrise Peak) .
