Unforgetable Memory- Fantastic, isn't it?

by Yihong

Fantastic trip about the fantastic island- Jeju Island. We went to see the Jeju Pottery village and Jeju Art village. Then we went to see the Haenyeo School and learn how to be a successful Haenyeo. After that we went to Geumneung Beach and enjoy the waves. Then we went to Bangsa tower which is a magic thing in Jeju do. At last we went to view the Haenyeo museum. 1, Protect from the sun burn. WORLD SEX MUSEUM

by ancient_traveler

Jeju Loveland (also known as Love Land) is an outdoor sculpture park which opened in 2004 on Cheju Island in South Korea. The park is focused on a theme of sex, running sex education films, and featuring 140 sculptures representing humans in various sexual positions. It also has other elements such as large phallus statues, stone labia, and hands-on exhibits such as a "masturbation-cycle." The park's website describes the location as, "a place where sexually-oriented art and eroticism meet."680-26, Yeong-dong-Jeju-si, Jeju-do Korea64-712-6988/89www.sexmuseum.or.krhttp://www.jejuloveland.com/ for 18 years old above

SEONGEUP FOLK VILLAGE

by ancient_traveler

Located at the foot of Mt. Halla, Located on Jeju-do Island, Seongeup Folk Village shows the unique residential culture of the island; the poorly made windscreen stone wall (black lava rock), the straight but curvy Ollae (narrow alley) to block the wind, and the stone statues which have become the prime feature of the landscape. From Jeju Intercity Bus Terminal, take an Intercity Bus bound for Dongbugwangong Road and get off at Seongeup 1(il)-ri From Seogwipo Intercity Bus Terminal, take an Intercity Bus that runs on Il-ju Road to the east and get off at Seongeup 1(il)-ri With its well-preserved traditional houses, Seongeup Folk Village is the place to experience the local customs of Jeju. The guides, who are the residents of the village, will take you to the few houses that are still inhabited by the local people. You can eat rice cakes and drink tea made in the village, or you can...

Expensive restaurants

by iwys

I found all the restaurants on Jeju-do much more expensive than those on the mainland, and the quality of the food was not as good. A simple meal that would cost 5,000 won in most Korean cities, will cost at least 20,000 won on Jeju-do. In my humble opinion, the Jeju seafood is over-hyped and overpriced.Probably the biggest tourist trap is the famous row of fresh seafood restaurants on Jeju city's waterfront: the ones with the fish tanks outside. At the prices they were charging - a minimum of 70,000 won for a fish - no wonder they were all empty. If you want to go somewhere in Korea to eat great fresh seafood at reasonable prices, go to Busan. While you are on Jeju-do, stock up on snacks and save your money.

Too friendly doesn't always means good~

by bladedragon

We took a cab in Jeju and the driver was very friendly, eventhough he doesn't speak english and we don't speak korean, somehow we managed to communicate with each other using sign language. But in fact he cheated us... (or at least we felt cheated). The driver offered to drive us for the rest of the day from one itinerary to another on our schedule for that day. We didn't know that he keep the meter running between stops, so in the end we paid more for the stops instead of the travelling... (I believe part of it is also our fault too)Anyway after we decided to stop his service half way through our itineraries (already cost us too friggin much), somehow he offered to drive us the rest half without meter and so much cheaper than what we've previously paid for the first half. That's when we felt so cheated by him.

Fu**in expensive, but taste terrible..

by im_jiyoung

If you are planning to go to U-do, especially, Do bring your food along with you. There things are usually double and tripple priced, and the quality is usually even less than half of those usual. There isn't, at least I couldn't find, any place where you can get a proper breakfast( they are rather for supper), and alsp taste bad. well.. I know that's the way it is when in an island, but anyways.. still if I go back there again, I will definitely bring some!

Forget about the dragon shaped rock

by bpacker

Other than the fancy fable behind the fancy shaped rock, it's not really that interesting. Give it a miss and visit the nearby Yongyeon or swamp inlet . Ancient locals used to go there to compose poems, so it's pretty scenic.
