Korean Air and Asiana are both flying a few times a day to Jeju Island. They are either taking off from Incheon or more likely from the former International Airport Gimpo. The flight time is about an hour.
The Airport is located in Jeju City.

Unless renting a car works, one of the ways to get around Jeju island is to hire a taxi for a day. Especially if you have a party with four people, the cost can be split up and is not unreasonable. Make sure you bargain wth the taxi driver to get a good rate. I cant remember exactly how much we paid, but it wasnt unreasonable for the day.

My wife and I were going around by bus and taxi. It was an adventure to find the busses and taxis were a rip-off. And she is native korean! Now you can imagine how hard it is as a backpacker!
That's why I recomend to rent a car. Traffic is not that bad and you are way more flexible to go round the island.
