No kettle in the 5* hotel over here...
Up till today, I don't understand why the 5* hotel didn't provide a simple kettle for hot water. I had to call conceirge each time I wanted hot water for my instant noodles. It drove me nuts and I'm sure it made them insane too. What's a $20 item for some sanity and customer service?
Oh yes, did I mention that they don't provide toiletries too??
Too many ski bunnies here...
It's difficult to ski here especially if you are a beginner. If failing to keep your balance is not bad enough, there are obstacles all over the beginner's slope ! Yes, there's:
1) lots of daft snowboarders who don't think twice about sitting in the middle of the slope to admire the scenary
2) parents who walk up the slope in their high heels to take pictures of their kids,
3)crowds of beginners like yourself who flail their arms around before they fall
The only way to avoid them is to ski at night. Yes, you read me correctly. Ski at Night, especially after 10pm when the crowds have thinned out. The lights over here don't go out till 12am !
Shoved at the ski lift queue
Have you been shoved aside or squashed in a Korean subway? Yes, the same thing happens here, be careful of skiers who didn't think twice about pushing or shoving their way around when they queue. I guess the average Korean patience runs short as the queue at ski lifts are rather long....
