Ilsan-dong Restaurants

If you wanna head 15-20 minutes away from the center of Ilsan, there exists the most delicious khamjatong (soft pork in a spicy soup with potatoes, vegetables and sliced, spiced doct) jump on bus 100-1, 100, 101 (the long way) to Supsongmaeul (poondong). Jump off at the Alpha Stationary store stop... if you miss this one, the next one is just past the lights (no biggie). You will notice a Dunkin' Donuts on your left hand side. Cross the street and head on back into the alley behind the donut store. You will notice what looks like a long parking lot with some tall buildings. The very first building you see, directly in front of you, look up at the second floor. There will be pictures of the soup. Head on up the stairs, take of your shoes and sit down for a scrumptious meal. Free sides of Kimchi and peppers will be never ending. For a 2-3 person meal you'll be out 17,000 Won. If you not much of a potato person, order the Hayjung-guk - 5,000 Won for an individual portion (comes with rice). The pork is tender and flakey. To die for.
