If you are a fan of overpriced drinks, chessy live band, and overcommericalized dj hits then JJ's is your place. Actually I like this place nonetheless. Even though on any given night you can have 60 yr old grandpas trying to hit on your friends, have Korean celebrities turning over tables and fighting over-zealous foreigners, or have a gang load college kids pull up in the bmws and benzs their parents bought them, all partying together, I usually have a great time here. Actually, does anyone know the actual name of the live band scetion, its not JJ's... but anyways.... This place has a nice gazebo area overlooking the Han river, with the most awe inspiring view of KangNam. Koreans are very image conscienous, you are what you wear and who you are with and how you present yourself. Prententions run high here in JJ's and basically all over Seoul.....so dress to impress....... but then...
It's safe in South Korea. You can stay whole night on the street.^^I live in Pusan now. It's 2nd capital in Korea.my favorite downtown is NamPoDong. every weekend, you can see many asian people. maybe if you're American you are surprised. it's very crowded.I know good live bar in Pusan university.In Pusan University, you can see many nightlife place.I recommend Soultrain.they have concert on every friday. band members are american. So many western people come here.Maybe you get some information in the bar. You can wear any dress.
The Hong-ik university area is pretty smart- there's a load of bars around there, and some good nightclubs. In the daytime it's good for shopping too, and in fact most of the clothes shops stay open till all hours anyway.The 'Hodge-Podge' (pronounced 'Hodgy-Podgy' :) )nightclub plays hip-hop, R&B, and pop type stuff. It's generally chock-full at the weekend and stays open till...well I haven't seen it close to be honest.It's a good area to get something to eat as well as drink, dance. There's also a pretty good mix of locals to westerners- other areas like Itaewon or Jong-no are kind of too much one way or the other, but Hong-Dae is the baby bear's porridge. Where what you like, although because the club is so crowded I wouldn't go too dressed up, or with clothes that you don't mind getting a bit of booze spilt on.
The (in)famous nore-bang or karaeoke. Legenday fun if you can stand the yodelling!!Comfy booths where you can wail away to your hearts content. You can buy beer and food here until some horrible hour in the morning. You can also have one of the staff sit in with you and press buttons as they're all in Korean. try it while you're here, its a blast.
The Yongson area has a wealth of clubs. You are likely to run into people from the four corners of the globe there. The Nashville is a great club and you cant go there without taking a stroll up 'Hooker Hill' In spite of the name there are mostly just a bunch of clubs in that area all though female companions are almost always available for the right price. Strange country; you wont see pornography anywhere yet prostitution is everywhere???? The Nashville is a nice clean upscale bar as are most of the clubs on the main street in Yongson. Visit Tongduchon and Toka Ri about 40 miles north to see a wilder party atmosphere. Club clothes are the usual dress.
three are many clubs and bars in Pusan and all you need is a few good friends to share it withWhat's unique about Pusan well for one they have oscars you may have never had one but it's a drink...(wine) it's taste good and there cheap...me and my friends well let's just say we had a good time dress however you want
Depending on what you are looking for there are a variety of places. Foreigners tend to flock to some bars near Pusan National University. If you are looking for local color there are any number (literally a few thousand) of Korean style bars you can go to, right off the street. If you are looking to visit something interesting (and spend a lot of money) you could check out the Russian bars in Choryang but you have to watch out for the Russian prostitutes. Most are relaxed; however, if you are going out with Koreans you will find them in a state of dress ranging from semi formal to formal business (depending upon the age of the group you are with)

The markets are a great place to grab a bite to eat at night- but be careful coz i hear you can catch some ugly stuff by dipping your food in the communal sauce dipper from time to time.Cheap and tasty- with or without TB.
