by Redchyld

My experience with Korea was this: there wasn't a 'spot' to go clubbing. You went to a city or burrough within a city. Upscale clubs with cover charges weren't very popular with the American crowds. The rock, top 40, R&B/hip hop, and electronica genres of music were found in the clubs where dress code was minimal. Especially in the rave areas the code was VERY unlimited. Word of caution: don't wear white.

Nickleby's Pub, Seoul Pub, The Iquana, and the cheap drinks on 'Hooker Hill'(a big military hang-out)If you've ever been to Song-tan, South Korea you would understand. Song-tan is the 'ghetto' of ROK and Seoul has a lot more to offer, not to mention better nightlife and better food.

For younger people and singles...

by Dick_Loudon

For younger people and singles generally, a multitude of bars and clubs downtown and out by the army base, especially along Itaewon and feeder roads. Similar to Thailand, Philippines, and Japan. Discos, pubs, etc. There's gambling as well. Many of the places I frequented are gone now (Sam's Place for instance). But there are many new places and Koreans like to enjoy themselves. You'll meet people fast. jeans in some, casual slacks at the hotel bars

Uncle Tom's Cabin: Uncle Tom's Cabin

by bruingirl

A trendy little bar in the trendy part of Seoul known as Apgujung-do. Apgujung-do is where all the yuppy 20s somethings hang out. The bar is a 2-story bar and they have their menus pasted inside copies of the book, Uncle Tom's Cabin! Fairly casual. Jeans and the like are acceptable.

by Bodhran

The Po Suk Jung dinner theatre was a treat. We were well fed from a fixed menu and then entertained with traditional dances that were beautiful. If you like to immerse yourself in another culture, this is a good way to start. Even though this kind of evening is available in quite a few hotels for tourists, it is not a rip off. (check with your hotel before you choose one in case there are bad ones). The food, music, and dancing is authentic and delightful. Sunday best to elegant. No jeans.

Not a bad spot. Lots of foreigners here, staff is pretty much fluent and there's a nutty 'robotman dancer' on the floor most nights. Good tunes. Anything.
