    Pusan Subway Connection

by mkim Written Nov 7, 2006

stiLL new compared to other metropoLis
the Pusan Subway only has 3 major lines that inter-cross at 2 conjunctions,
therefore only ample in reaching major areas of the city .

and because this is a stiLL a small city
no major crowd-packing during traffic hours
in the likes of SeouL, and even Tokyo .

    Mopeds & Bikes

by mkim Written Nov 7, 2006

    because this ain't a major metropolis :
once you have decided on an area to stay in
many people opt.for a moped or bike .

most of foreigners living here temporarily rarely have license
since local police prefer to let them go for language barriers .

Driving in & out of the City

by mkim Updated Aug 5, 2007

considering this is the furthest city located at the South-Eastern corner of the K.PenninsuLa
it is a good idea to have a car at hand
to drive out of city limits, hugging the Southern /OR/ Eastern coast in the weekends,
where much of the stiLL naive towns & nature awaits .

Flying in and out of Busan

    by Ewingjr98 Updated Apr 4, 2011

Flights from Seoul to Busan are cheap and convenient. There are some 20-30 flights each day between Seoul's Kimpo Airport and Busan's Kimhae Airport. The flight only takes an hour and costs 70,000 Won, even for a last minute flight!

Kimhae opened at its current location in 1976 and its newest terminal was just completed in late 2007. It handles over nine million passengers annually to numerous domestic and international locations. Parking at the airport is priced around 7,000 to 13,000 won per day depending on day of the week and vehicle size. Numerous city buses and limousine buses also run to the airport for a fare ranging from 1500 to 3000 won each direction. If using the subway, take Line 2 (Green) To Deokcheon Station, leave via exit 6, then take bus 307 directly to the airport.

    Taxi, Bus, Train, Subway...

by LaLaInTheWaynePlane Written Jul 28, 2004

Buses and subways stop before midnight...after that you must take a cab.
Cabs are EVERYWHERE so it is easy to get one...and they are cheap.
Korea has two trains...normal train and a 'bullet' train....the bullet tends to get you to your destination MUCH MUCH faster for maybe $10 more...it's worth it during long distances. However, the 'normal' train is more comfortable. Train prices aren't cheap but are affordable....and scenary is great.

The Subway in Pusan is fairly small compared to Seoul, which makes it easier to ride. It's still convenient to get almost everywhere.
