Not exactly a Restaurant.. but there are many roadside stalls in Korea offering street food such as Ddeokbokki (a broiled dish of sliced rice cake
with various seasonings), Ppondaegi (boiled silkworms - nutty taste!) and many, many more yummy snacks!
It's especially nice to eat them hot in cold weather...

All Restaurants In Korea: Avoid The Seafood!

  • Korea's waters are heavily polluted and its fishing industry is not well regulated, so most of the seafood is unsafe to eat for the sensitive western stomach.

Even if the waters were clean, traditional Korean seafood is cooked in a wholly unappetizing way.

    1. Shellfish are served unshelled. Shrimp comes whole, eyes, legs, egs, shell, and all.

    2. Fish comes whole, and is not filleted, and in many cases is not cooked all the way through. Some fish dishes come with the fish still squirming around on your plate!

    3. Everything in Korea is cooked with a spicy red-pepper paste, and this doesn't match well with most seafood.

    4. Seafood soups consist of a bunch of unshelled shrimp, uncooked fish, and whole mussels bubbling around in a thick brown broth.

A safe rule of thumb is to simply avoid ALL seafood dishes.

Korean food is very hot and has a lot of garlic in it. I did not like the Kimchi so much. That is cabbage preserved with garlic and chilies. (Please correct me, when I am not right!).You get Kimchi with just everything you order in Korea. There are different types of Kimchi, some have little fishes in it. Or it consists of other preserved vegetables. A row of Kimchi pots is the pride of every Korean housewife.

I did not know the language, so I used to point on the menue to order something. But then I often got some kind of soup with bones and a lot of meat. I don't like to eat a lot of meat. I was very happy, when I found out, that 'bap' means rice, and that 'BeBimBap' is a very nice dish of rice, vegetables, egg and only a little bit of meat. So I often ate BeBimBap or other dishes which name ends with Bap.

I don't have a favorite restaurant, because most of the restaurants doing there job really good, but is better you can read korean,so it's easier to order that what you want.

There a lot of real good menus, but i really enjoyed bull-gogi(that's a kind of grilled meat), grilled squit or duck-galbi,there is too much i can't tell.
Anyway, you must be somebody who like asian food.

  • Err, sorry I can't remember the
name of this restaurant, but I remember that it is located inside a theme park,
    EVERLAND.
    The above mentioned dishes are
really mouth watering and very filling. The pork cutlet is deep fried and then
served with a plate of hot white Korean rice with a bowl of hot Miso soup. The
fried rice will be great for Spicy-food lovers. It has a very unique taste,it
doesn't taste like any other ordinary fried rice.It is a mixture of light tomato
sauce + chili sauce...As for the spaghetti, you can expect it to be as good as
the spaghetti served in Italian restaurants such as Milano's...HMMMM

Rice with Pork Chop, Spicy Fried
    rice and Italian style spaghetti.
