The shops inside the wholesale centres located at Namdaemun market are much cheaper than the open air market. We popped into almost all the main ones and visited each floors.

These markets have anything you would ever need, from clothes, to food, to shoes, to housewares.... anything.
they are huge indoor/outdoor markets and they are full of people.
You should bargain if there is no price stated.
Anything you need. you can find in the market... or even you can find it on the street at many different vendors.

Modern multistory buildings have stores carrying any sort of outfit you may look for.
As any place in Seoul, space is precious and even the stadium is converted into a parking lot!
Department stores are the cleanest and neatest ever seen, altough price level is not different from that of western countries. Do not expect bargains here.
