Sokguram Grotto Shrine is located at Mount Tohamsan approximately 750 metres above Bulguksa Temple in Kyongju. This is an 8th Century cave temple with a large statue of Buddha overlooking the sea. Sokguram Grotto Shrine is one of the best known tourist attractions in Kyongju and attracts many foreign tourists from around the world. The shrine has been listed as World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The climb up the hill can be very tiring but it is worth the climb! Don't miss Sokguram Grotto shrine when you visit Bulguksa Temple. Tumuli Park, Kyongju

Kyongju was the ancient capital of Shilla Dynasty. The whole city of Kyongju is rich in history. There are approximately twenty royal tombs, both large and small at Tumuli Park in Kyongju. They belong to the Kings and the royal families. The smallest tomb is less than one metre and the largest one approximately 24 metres. Most of them are earthen and mound shaped. One of the tombs belongs to the popular King Michu, the 13th King of the Shilla Dynasty. Don't miss the royal tombs at Tumuli Park when you are having a vacation in Kyongju!

Statue of Admiral Yi Sun-Sin

The Statue of Admiral Yi Sun-sin is located at Yongdusan Park in Busan. Admiral Yi Sun-sin (1545 - 1598) is regarded as a hero in Korea today. He was a great naval commander in Joseon Dynasty made popular by his victory against the Japanese navy during the Japanese invasion of Korea between 1592 and 1598. Unfortunately he was killed by a single bullet in the Battle of Noryang Point in 1598.

Yongdusan Park (also known as Dragon Head Park) is located at Mount Yongdusan in Jung-gu, Busan. The park is relatively small and occupies an area of slightly less than 70,000 square metres. Nevertheless, the park has several tourist attractions including the statue of Admiral Yi Sun-sin, Flower Clock, 4.19 Revolution Monument and the popular Busan Tower. It is also home to approximately 70 different species of trees and flowers. The park is named Yongdusan simply because the shape of the mountain looks like the head of a dragon. The top of the hill is approximately 70 metres above sea level. The view from the park over the city of Busan is breath-taking and spectacular especially at night! This is a favourite meeting place for the locals as well as foreign tourists. Admission to the park is free.
