U-do (U = Cow, do = Island) is a tiny island north-east of Songsan. If you really wanna experience a peacefull place then you gotta go to U-do.
Just a single minibus and some tractors, a great view over Ilch'ulbong and sandy beaches.
It's kinda rip-off, though. You have to pay for the ferry, then another admission to be allowed to enter the island and again for the bus, as there are no other transportation than that. But it's kinda fun anyway.

Climb up to the highest point of U-do (besides the military base) and have a look at this lovely lighttower!

Below the old and the new Lighttower is the Lighttower Park, which shows Lighttowers from all over the world in a small tiny version. Cute!
