Caveat: I'm Not really a fan of Hallyu or korean wave and honestly I don't know the actors and actresses of this popular Korean Drama but since It's included in the tour package, might as well enjoy it. (see my videos too!).Dae Jang Geum, sometimes known as The Great Jang Geum, or Jewel In The Palace, is a 2003 TV series produced by South Korean TV channel MBC.
Based loosely on the historical figure depicted in the Annals of Joseon Dynasty, the show focuses on Jang-geum (played by Lee Young Ae), the first female royal physician of the Joseon Dynasty of Korea. The main theme is her perseverance, as well as the portrayal of traditional Korean culture, including Korean royal court cuisine and medicine.
Like what I've said, Small Korean Restaurants usually specializes in one dish then have other limited choices (like one resto specializes in Kimchi, others in Galbi, Sangyeopsal, etc .This resturant specializes in Galbi Chim (roasted meats) and unfortunately the name is written in Hangul so I cannot translate the Name.
Favorite Dish: off course the pork galbi, which is their specialty and is soooo goood!( I like roasted meats!)
and the assorted fresh skinned fish with spicy sauce which was very tasty!
the kimchi were numerous and spicy (and are free!, all kimchi in korean restaurants are free!)
it cost 15,000 won for the pork galbi, rice, fish, etc.
