Spratly Islands Bird Watching
Swallow Reef first and formost has no swallows -- I know i looked but it does have at least five species of seabird that nest on the reef they are Black naped terns, Sooty terns, Great Crested terns Noddys and Brown boobies) about 5000 of them nesting at one time. the Nesting Birds are on the West side of the Island and should be approched early in the Am or late afternoon because the hot midday sun is so hot that if the birds flu away in fear from the neast the chick could be harmed.
