Kandy Perahera.
The Kandy Perahera which is a very significant event in Sri Lanka & draws many people local & foreign alike. It happens in Kandy the home to the Dalada Maligawa. The Perahera begins 10 days prior to Poya Day in the month of August ( may sometimes vary). The Start day & time could change just a little bit, cause they look for a "Nekath" good time. Most buddhist customs are performed upon looking at a good time. In the perahera you will see approx 100 elephants, Kandyan Dancers, Fire Walkers, Oriental Drummers and Many more.
