There's a very attractive 18 hole golf course right in the middle of the town - another legacy of the Little England tag. If you're short on time then you can just play a few holes rather than the full 18. I don't play golf myself but I'm told by people who know about these things that it's quite a good course.

Being founded by the British I suppose the town would not be complete without its golf and its club that goes with it.
Equipment: Err, golf clubs, shoes, silly trousers, etc.
