I left the Rest House with enough bacteria in my gut to temporarily close a bay and I’m fairly sure that dinner was to blame so I wouldn’t recommend it as a place to eat.
In town there are lots of local places to eat (rice and curry or ‘short eats’ etc) during the day and I’ve eaten at several of them since the Rest House incident with no ill effects. There are some modern ‘diner’ type places selling almost western food.
At night there is also a dodgy looking Chinese restaurant, which I think is more of a bar – just seeing the clientele going in was enough to put me off the place.
Favorite Dish: This is a fishing port and I'm sure if you really try you could find some really good sea food (but I didn't)
