Favorite thing: Ellas rock is a beautiful trip and a must in Ella.
Fondest memory: We have been to Ella for 3 days and stayed in Zion View guesthouse. The view is breathtaking, just opposite Ellas rock. The rooms are very clean and the food was the best in Sri Lanka we tasted. This place just opened 2 months ago, and already turns out to be one of the best places to stay in Ella. It is a very quiet and relaxing place and Sena, the owner of the place, is very helpful and experienced with tourists. He speks not only good english, also he speaks quiet well german, cause he lived in switzerland for some years. Highly recommended place to enjoy your holidays.

The excellent view of the Ella Gap is breathtaking. On a clear day, you can see as far as the south coastal line. Be sure you visit the Resthouse to get this view.
