Majestic City: Where to go??

by Midgetman

I'm nto going to describe each shop!! I'm talking abotu shopping centres. Whilst in Colombo i only found 4, rated in this order.1) Majestic cityHuge place with lots of cheap shops selling everything from sports equipment to books. Has KFC and Cinema to boast as well as supermarket.2) OdellesNot really a shopping centre just a big department store. Nice place where clothes are cheap, all drivers no where it is.3) Crescat SHopping MallHas varoius shops and food hall in basement.4) Liberty PlazaThis pace mings but has got quite a lot of shops, and i'm sure a few bargains could be bought. Whatever you want really. Loads of touristy shops selling wooden carvings of things as well as jewellery shops, but it isn't that cheap. Depends what you're buying.

All over Sri Lanka there are antique and handicraft stores. They sell locally made goods. Usuallly masks, batik, silver work, and basket work. In Kandy, for antiques head to Waruna Antiques.

Herbs

by Sunchild

Medicine made of herbs Depends! If bought in specialised shops, prices seem to be fixed (???). In Herb plantages, make sure you bagain!!!!!! And still they will be a lot more expensive!
