Make sure that at least one evening you walk away from the beach and head into the village or at least the road behind the beach!
You will find lots of restaurants hidden away. We ate on the beach for so many nights in a row and when we walked into the village at night we were amazed to find some fabulous restaurants. The best being this fab little Italian (name tbc)
Favorite Dish:
Pizza, Pasta, Italian wine, Tiramisu!

Wilmals is a really nice restaurant located right on the beachfront. There are tables and chairs on the sand as well as in the restaurant itself.
We stayed in Wimal's accommodation, so we ate here every morning for a delicious breakfast, bought the majority of our drinks from here and ate here most evenings too!
Favorite Dish:
The menu is varied, serving fabulous food with great service.
The seafood here was absolutely amazing - you gotta try it!
Aruna (a brilliant waiter) was the star here, he left to work for a grander complex further up the beach.

Address: On the beach!
I have a habit of getting up early. When at home, I plan to sleep late and wake up at leisure, but Im still up at 6 or 7 every morning, and though I had late nights and tiring days in Unawatuna, I still was up by at least 7.
And the moment I wake up, I need my breakfast and Full Moon resort gave it to at 8 in the morning.
Favorite Dish: Its such an amazing feeling to wake up early and be there at the beach having yur b'fast, so bloody fresh!!

During my stay in Unawatuna, I went back to two restaurants for dinner and breakfast. Sunny Beach and Hotel Banana. They are side by side and you can access from Wella Dewala road. The pricing is reasonable. Full American breakfast as in pic is Rs200. For candle light dinner by or on the beach, a dish of fried rice is Rs200. A bottle of Lion Lager is Rs120. Take note no 10% charges.
What else do you ask for with this seaview breakfast and candle light dinner??? Isn't it all about holidays and experience?
