Travelling alone unrecognised (also not recommended by DWLC) is a danger for your life as wild elephants may attack your vehicle. Therefore always follow the guidelines by DWLC. At some occasions wild elephants are walking along the lands outside the park if the electric fences are damaged. So it is wise to accompany a local of a surrounded villages for observation. I've seen that some groups of elephants (15 to 27) walking near the electric fence.
