You should go to any of the night markets...there are a few, some bigger than others. They are mostly food, and a real variety of crafts/souveniers and small carnival-like games. The one treat I'd highly recommend however, is fruit (usually strawberry or cherry) on a stick which is covered with a thin layer of candy (kinda like a candy apple). However, be warned that some of them have vegetables like small tomatoes and slices of green pepper!! Not so tasty.
Qijin Windmill Park
A quiet and peaceful park by the sea. Here you can see rows of windmills and some statues of crabs and shells for the children to play on. This park is in Qijin Island of Kaohsiung, Taiwan.

Not much lotuses in Lotus Pond...
...but plenty of temples! There are at least 8 Chinese temples along the banks of the pond along with some impressive structures.
Given the proper development, this river could became one of the major attraction, but as for now, not too much is happening around here.
Confucius Temple, located on the north shore of Lotus Temple, it is modeled after a temple at Qufu in Shandong Province, the homeland of Confucius.
Just across from the Dragon and Tiger Pavilions is a small local temple. You can take a walk in and have a look and you can also get a great view of it from up on top of the pavillions.
This is the Tiger Zen tower of the two pagodas. Both towers have 7 floors which has the meaning of seven-leveled stupa of Buddhism.
The Inside Artwork
On each floor of the Tiger Pavilion there are 12 corners. Inside there is a statue of Confucius and paintings of the 72 Virtuous Men and 36 Officers on the walls.
An Interesting Walk
There is a tiled walk around the Dragon & Tiger Pagoda's which have some interesting and sometimes foreboding characters adorning the paths.
Along the Walkway
If you walk over the bridge, you will see lining the rails, bronze warriors and when you get to the end there are more statues as well as lovely carved walls and smaller pavilions.
View from the Pagoda
View from the Pagoda over Tsuo Ying.
Tsuoying is a district of Kaohsiung and has many remains of seventeenth century military fortresses but Lotus Lake is still the main attraction.
