A coffee shop in Taiwan is open pretty late, until midnight or 1 AM at least, and more like a bar than a `coffee shop'. It serves coffee, alcohol, and maybe cookies or something. The coffee costs a fortune ($150 per cup) but they are nice places to hang out Leave a Comment Theme: Eating and Drinking

View of the current MRT construction & President s by millablake, 2 more photos La Strada is owned by a designer, the first two levels being a cafe/bar and the top being his studio. Good music, good coffee and a very relaxed atmosphere. There are a selection of sketchbooks to browse or add too. Check out the Lomo cameras in the glass cabinet at the front.

by Kurtdhis Your hosts Joe & Vinny make the New York Pub one of the nicest placest to visit. If you are a "waigoran" (foreigner) pop in for a snack and a few drinks, you will feel right at home.

by keeweechic If all else fails you could go and see a movie. The Warner Village cinemas were one of the first big multiplexes. This cinema has 18 theatres spanning across two buildings which also incorporates restaurants. Across the road is the Mitsukoshi Department Store and 5 mins up the road is the Grand Hyatt Hotel. Warner Village Cinemas are in many cities in Taiwan. Leave a Comment Theme: Other

by keeweechic A visit to Snake Alley in the evening is interesting. The area has become a popular night market. There are shopping stalls and also many restaurants, some still serving snake, turtle and other gourmet dishes, but don't worry - 'normal' Asian food prevails. Beware, the fellas, entertaining you with the snakes, do not like you to take photos and will get pretty upset if you do - but try it anyway. Leave a Comment Theme: OtherAddress: Wan Hua District

Any of the night markets, i.e. Shih Ling and Hua Shi. Amazing amount of vendors and people out walking around at night. Most probably be able to find something interesting to buy. Leave a Comment Theme: Other

I didn't go out much at night when I was there so I can't really speak from experience. However, my cousins have told me there are a lot of pubs to go drinking and clubs to go dancing in the Taipei area. Leave a Comment Theme: Other

Definitely, GO TO NIGHTMARKETS!!!!!! It's one of my favorite things in my life, you could find so many delicious food in nightmarkets! Crowded is a must.;) You will see lots of people are stocked there, eating, shopping, vedaling, kid-screaming.... You don't have to dress up, sometime people will be VERY casual there.;) Oh! and please don't forget to BARGAIN things you want to buy in nightmarkets, so you could buy very cheap and nice thing there. ;)
Just casual like I said above.;) You might get dirty in nightmarket too, so T-shirt, jeans, and sports shoes will be fine.;) Leave a Comment Theme: Eating and DrinkingDirections: There are some famous nightmarket in different places in Taiwan...
